Parada Sant Antoni

From this stop, you can discover some of the most representative streets in central Eixample and, at the same time, explore two neighbourhoods with a strong personality of their own: el Raval and Sant Antoni.

Between Eixample, culture and neighbourhood life

Very close to plaça de la Universitat, you can immerse yourself in Eixample’s orderly street grid and stroll along lively thoroughfares such as Enric Granados or Rambla de Catalunya, alternating them with quieter spots such as the interior block gardens. If you would rather experience a completely different atmosphere, head towards el Raval and wander through its narrow, diverse streets, where you will find two of Barcelona’s leading contemporary culture institutions: CCCB and MACBA, the latter located in plaça dels Àngels.

A short distance from the stop, you can also follow ronda de Sant Antoni and take a break at Barcelona’s Fàbrica Moritz before heading into carrer del Parlament, one of the liveliest spots in the area, packed with bars and restaurants. To get a closer feel for everyday neighbourhood life, it is well worth visiting Mercat de Sant Antoni, a gathering place deeply rooted in local life that hosts its traditional Sunday market of second-hand books, comics and trading cards.
